I enjoyed Tom Martin's editorial in last night's paper where he gave District 205 teachers credit for "accepting a meager pay raise and not striking." In his final paragraph Mr. Martin commended the teachers and the school district for starting the school year on schedule and gave the teachers "extra credit for shelving their animosity." It was a welcome and professional, high profile, show of respect.
